Several sources are reporting to Recall Mayor Nick Stanley the following:
1. The owners of Dean Ranch just petitioned the City of Aledo to leave the Aledo ETJ.
- UPDATE: DEC 13, 2023 - City releases Dean Ranch request to leave ETJ. A copy can be found below.
- UPDATE: DEC 5, 2023 - The FOIA/PIR Request for a copy of the letter which the City of Aledo received from Dean Ranch to leave the ETJ is referred to the Attorney General for a opinion before release. Copy posted below.
- UPDATE: NOV 21, 2023 - Currently cannot report on details at this time. Once given the go ahead RNS will update.
2. RNS filed an Official Petition to recall Mayor Nick Stanley.
- UPDATE: NOV 21, 2023 - The recall campaign has begun and RNS is collecting signatures. Signatures are only valid if you are registered voter and live in the Aledo City limits. For example, you would need to be able to vote on City of Aledo ballot items.
