DEC 13, 2023 - Revelations Unveiled: Executed Agreement Exposes Potential Conflict of Interest in Aledo City Dealings
RNS has obtained a copy of the executed agreement between 1882 Partners, LP and the City of Aledo, a document that sheds light on an intricate web of connections. The contract, signed by Mayor Nick Stanley's business partner and last-known employer, Patrick Beachner, reveals intriguing ties. Mr. Beachner, an owner of Fieldstone Solar Power Company, LLC (the mayor's employer), and Bluejack Resources, LLC, adds a layer of complexity to the situation. It appears that Aledo City Manager, Noah Simon, may have been negotiating this lease with his boss, the Mayor, posing what seems to be a conflict of interest.
During a Regular City Council meeting, Noah Simon stated that it would cost over $100,000.00 to renovate the Community Center into a temporary City Hall for 24 months while awaiting the completion of the new City Hall. This decision, in our view, raises questions about a potential push of the Aledo City Council to lease a building from the mayor's business partners.
RNS has asked for a copy of these quotes, bids and or proposals and we are told that none exist. We even asked "are you sure".
